BRYLEE JOY
DECEMBER 19, 2010 - SEPTEMBER 1, 2016

Brylee Joy is 4 years old and was diagnosed on October 15th, 2015 with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer. The cancer is in the bottom of her brain, nasal cavity, left eye and lungs. She is receiving treatment at UCLA Mattel's Children's Hospital.

Brylee is a vibrant and special little girl. Her family knows she was meant for something so significantly miraculous. Her smile is contagious and her positive outlooks and vibrant personality make anyone’s bad day disappear!

She is a super genius too, often too smart for her own good! She is so funny and always making sure she gets a laugh from everyone she meets! Through all of this she hasn’t lost her sweet smile, winning attitude and most importantly,
her deep faith in God. She can and will beat this no matter what the numbers say!

OUR SO SAD UPDATE FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2016

Brylee's only wish was to come home and be with her family. Since being admitted on Saturday,
that was mostly all she would ask for other than her dad and I to cuddle her.
We were able to get Brylee home last night cuddled up with us. That's all she wanted.
Was to be home safe in our arms.
She passed away at 1230 am this morning safe at home where she wanted to be with Mommy and Daddy by her side. I'm at a loss for words right now. We will update with funeral arrangements when we are strong enough to.
Please in leu of sending flowers (we have an allergy in the home so please no live plants) consider donating to Brylee's fund. We ❤️ You all so very much. Thank you for being on this journey with us.

UPDATE JULY 2016

We've decided to keep trying to fight since Brylee is doing so well still. We will be digging for all options we can find that may have some success and while doing that taking in consideration for her quality... of life. We will be starting, again, another chemo regimen on Monday. However this regimen Brylee gets to come home everyday. She won't have to have any overnight hospital stays anymore. We will have to drive each day of the week to the hospital for outpatient chemo. Brylee is super happy about that. Mommy...not so much lol. We live in Southern Cali and traffic here in the mornings is insane. But, Brylee will be able to come home everyday and be with her family while we search for her best options at the same time try to slow the cancer down. We believe all the enzymes, oils, etc are what keeps her so strong so we are not stopping anything we do at home with her either. Which is a lot, but she is a champ and is fine with anything that makes her feel strong/better. She is still so strong physically, emotionally, and mentally right now. We feel we still have a fighting chance. It may seem impossible but until we see her declining or God tells us it's time to stop, we are going to fight and fight with all our might.

UPDATE MAY 2016:

Brylee was responding so well to chemo and the cancer was almost gone. In May just 3 months shy of being done with treatment, scan revealed that the cancer had started to grow again while on chemo plan.
Her parents are devastated but not giving up.
They still have a chance to save their daughter but they need all the help they can get.

It hurts her parent’s hearts to have to ask for financial help.
They feel they should be the one's giving to people in need as they normally are!
They never expected to be put in this situation.
They tried to cover the costs themselves with the help of family and friends however,
they see now how very expensive the treatments, transportation to the hospital, and prescriptions, etc are.
They have 3 other children as well.

All donations will go to Brylee’s medical costs, transportation costs, and alternative prescriptions to help fight the cancer along with an new chemo plan that Brylee will have to be on for another year.

Even if donations are not feasible, the family is also asking for everyone’s prayers and positive thoughts for Brylee
during her battles against cancer. The family is truly thankful for any donations made and when Brylee
beats this evil cancer, it will be the family’s mission to pay it forward.

Updates on Brylee’s well-being will also be on Facebook “Prayers for Brylee Joy”.
